This land was not what the woman had made it seem. It seeped with black filth, it screamed with fights and violence and marched off to wage righteous wars. Monsters lurked in these caves with him, and his titles and “ranks” he’d been given would do nothing for his aid. He had been here for so long and knew so little, made no friends, gained no knowledge. It was not a worthwhile pursuit to remain here, especially now that the already black shore was tainted with something most foul. Even a curious scholar such as himself knew better than to try to study something so nefarious looking alone. And he had no others in this land he thought would dare rival his abilities to aid him… Filthy pride. No, this Gemini wasn’t much, and he was somewhat disappointed in himself for being so fascinated by the notion of wolves and their packs. The cavehound didn’t belong, so he wouldn’t linger.
 
There had never been the necessary sense of belonging he thought he should feel to give him the drive to appear at the events as they unfurled so he didn’t. He doubted he’d even be stopped as he slipped away into the night. These packmembers could come and go as they pleased, and it had been many, many moons since the “Ranger” who had accepted him had graced the land with her pawsteps. What had happened to her? The red-eyed beast hardly even remembered her name or her appearance, a blot of something somewhere in the back of his mind. He’d wasted away in the caves and studied them, reinforced them, guided explorations through them and all the same he gained nothing. Jai was not a man to gain nothing for his work, so he figured he would go elsewhere.
 
Perhaps he was not suited for this pack life?
 
Perhaps he had some greater calling elsewhere?
 
In the dark of the night, as Gemini shivered during the solstice’s chilling events, Jai left.

ooc| I never got around to playing him much here and I will probably place him in storage but I figured I'd have him leave and be in the free and clear neutral lands if I ever pick him back up again. Or I might have him participate in the monplot and then storage him. idek. Just a short little post to get things ICly squared away. He can be removed from the ranks, he's not likely to return.
