Fights are very hard sometimes when it comes to RPing. It makes it very difficult to follow what's going on when one person types "A does this and bits down" and the other goes "B moved just in time out of the way of A's bite". So to correct this, and this is a very In Development idea, I've decided that the easiest way to work on fights is to incorporate some Dungeons and Dragons. It's very simple. Fights will be done on forum, with the addition of a screenshot to each post. Each character will need to roll 1 D20 from the Wizards of the Coast site to determine their attack move and the amount of power it delivers. It would break down like this: 1-4 Auto Miss 5-10 Small Hit 11- 14 Hit 15-19 Big Hit Nat 20- Instant hit, target becomes prone Each player may roll TWO TIMES per post so they can do up to two attacks per post. This is to include one roll being a miss, the other being a hit. If a player rolls a Nat 20 on their first hit, they do not need to roll again as their opponent will become instantly prone. This chart also goes for saving throws. If you have been attacked, knocked down, bitten and held down, you may have one chance to escape. To do this, you will roll 1 D10. It's a 50/50 chance of escaping. 1-5: Failure 6-10: Success These will also be posted in screenshot form so we can see how the attacks play out. Since this leaves the attacks and escapes to chance and the roll of the dice, it should make it a fairer fight. ***THIS FIGHT RULE/ APPLICATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE IF IT DOES NOT WORK OUT*** |
