She had been spending her time with Dixie, the girl who let her into the pack. The dog wasn’t exactly a professional at crafting, but she was trying her best to teach Sunny what she could. The coyote mix had happily tried to learn, and had finally managed a decent necklace. It had small beads on it, and feathers hanging from it. Sunny left it in her den, today. Dixie was busy with her own work, so Sunny decided to look around the pack alone. Usually she had simply tried to craft more, or sleep, but today she had a small burst of confidence. Sunny wasn’t use to beaches, and decided to head that direction for the fun of it. In her childhood, she had grown up in a mountainous area, with many caves and holes. The water sources they had were shallow, not much for swimming.

But Tortuga, oh Tortuga, had the ocean, and deep lakes. When she had found Tortuga, she thought it was odd that their water source was so large, but then she found out it was deep. It was amazing to her, so new, so deep. Dixie tried to explain it all to her, but there was so much to take in. Also, there seemed to be something Dixie wasn’t saying, as if the ocean made her upset. But that didn’t matter now. Sunny let her paws sink in the warm sand, as the ocean brought up fierce winds that whipped around her face. Underneath the surface of the water was a whole other world, one she would probably never get to know.

Sunny waded into the shallows, the waves gently brushing past her legs, splashing up slightly onto her chest. This was usually about how deep her childhood waters got, and she pushed out further. She stopped once the water was almost lapping over her back. Seaweed wrapped around her legs, and she started to slightly kick about, trying to shake them off under the water. To anyone on the shore, it probably looked a bit awkward, but the way she looked about, swinging her head with a giant grin, it was easy to tell that the pink girl was perfectly okay. After all that had happened to her, she deserved some happiness.

Batzorig doesn't rightly know why he walks the beaches. Maybe the rhythm of the waves soothes him somehow, the vast expanse makes him feel small somehow, despite how big he is to everyone around here. Maybe it's because he met Dixie on a late-night walk, and the dog is the closest to a friend he's found.
There's something bright in the water, and thrashing. He's almost afraid of another Fisk incident, until the panicked trot brings him close enough to catch her wide smile as she turns. He feels a sympathetic twitch on his own mouth, and decides to sit and watch for a while. Perhaps she'll lend him some of her happiness. She should probably be supervised, out this way.

Se was so focused on enjoying the water, she didn’t notice the massive lion that rested on the beach. If she had known sooner, she would have quit her antics, somehow frightened and embarrassed at the same moment. After a few minutes of her splashing, her eyes did fall on him, and she almost tripped on her paws at the sight of him. She knew that being apart of Tortuga made it so she was safe with who was probably a pack mate, but there was that itching fear in the back of her mind that he was bad. Something not right. The mutt of a girl waited in the water for a few heartbeats, seeing if he was just watching or if now that they had noticed one another, if he was going to go after her.

Sunny would walk towards the shore, head and tail low. There was the small hint of curiosity, but the obvious display of fear. She wondered even if she wasn’t herself, would she fear this big feline? Probably, she concluded, for he was massive and she was not. It was reasonable to have some kind of fright from him. “H-hello?” Damn, she meant it to come out as a statement but it sure sounded more like a question. The pink girl would let her eyes go over the man, not really use to strangers. In her past home, she had known everyone. It was still new to her to see new faces, and she didn’t exactly know personal space nor when her eyes were being rude. The girl stood maybe five feet away from the lion, paws still being brushed by the water.

His eyes even more downcast, Batzorig turns his head away, too scared to speak. He's intruded on a private moment. He shouldn't have stopped-- shouldn't have come at all.
    "H-hello?"
Looking up from under his mane, he quietly replies, "... Hi." He licks his salty lips, ocean breeze blowing the hair from his face. "Sorry. I-I just..." It's hard to appear small when you're as large as the lion, but he certainly tries. "... I was worried."
