The fog had settled in on the day the night before, it was so dense and thick that it was hard to even tell what time of day it was, but the ginger female weaved and limped her way around trees, ears flicking about idly to catch the caws of ravens or the occasional bugle  of a far off elk. There were certain things in Alteron one could become accustomed to, the noise was one of them. The rancid smell and the moisture was not.

She'd never understand what her sisters saw in a place like this, why the threw themselves at it. Power was power, she understood that much. They'd given so much and for what? None of them were here to revel in what they built, it was all for naught. History would never remember Arith's name like it would Azuhel, and even then as the sunset on her elder sister's reign so too would the books of lore.

Finally she arrived at the water's edge of Lake Imbrium, bones cursing her as she slowly crouched down to lap at the water. Amber eyes would glance out to the center of the lake, though the heavy fog obscured most of the isle today, a ripple in the water caused her head to raise as something wet floated toward her. The female would raise a brow, expression shifting from curiosity to down right disgust as it finally came close enough. A decapitated deer head, half the fur had rotted off and left exposed sinew and bone, a milky eye had sunken into the skull the other bulged out hideously. Every muscle in her body had tensed, and her fur prickled as she snarled out her disgust. "I hate this disgusting place."
