Insurmountable - Ursa - January 30, 2019

It was a nice day. So far as days went. The snow had melted and flowers were starting to bloom! She’d never seen such a thing, used to the bitter cold of winter’s distant sun. Everything was a bit mucky, mud sticking to her light colored paws, but she didn’t mind. She was on the hunt. For something to climb. Challenge level? Well, ideally, somewhere between Fallen Log and Healing Tree. The log had been easy. The tree? Uh, well… that was going to take a bit more work. Maybe when she was older. Ugh.

That was how she found her way to the wall. Sure, it was insurmountable… or supposed to be… from the lowland side. The side she wasn’t even supposed to be on. But there were makeshift stairs on the highland side. Maybe not the biggest challenge, but… STRENGTH TRAINING!!!!

She finds a way up and, much like most puppies when faced with stairs, makes her way up the incline through sheer tenacity and maybe a bit of defiance of… you know… gravity. Then she goes back down. Then up again. Just to prove that she could.

Finally she stops atop the wall and surveys the kingdom beyond, panting with tail wagging. Haha! She totally did it! Stupid tree! Stupid wall walker that was probably on their way to tell her to get down! ”I AM HERE!” she announces to the world, as if there was anybody who could possibly stop her.

Former Discord RP starter now here and open for babies to do baby things... this is technically set back before the trip to Inaria but what is time anyway tbh... she is still a puppy tho...

RE: Insurmountable - Ahsoka - February 01, 2019

The land was changing steadily from winter's chilly grip to spring's warm embrace. It was new to the little girl who bounded through the damp grass, the morning's dew just starting to evaporate. The new temperature surrounding the environment was almost like the warmth she felt when cuddling up to her siblings in the tower. All she ever knew was the cold of winter, but like her and her siblings, the land was in constant growth as well.

Ahsoka soon caught sight of a familiar shape just ahead. Not only the wall that she had mostly seen from a distance, but also her strong sister. The girl had been wanting to investigate the wall for some time now, but remembered her parents telling them it was forbidden for pups to wander outside the wall. She had a moment's hesitation as she watched her sister climb up and down, and back again. They weren't meant to go to the wall. Surely mother and father would be upset if they found out? The little girl didn't want to upset her parents....

Then again, knowledge is power, right? And Ahsoka wanted to broaden her mind as much as possible, which included exploring every inch of her home. Surely her parents also wanted her and her siblings to be curious and seek knowledge? Besides, Ursa wasn't on the wrong side of the wall, at least.

Ahsoka launched herself toward Ursa, her sense of adventure causing adrenaline to pump through her veins. Poppy eyes were alight with excitement as she drew nearer, tongue lolling out of one side of her maw.

”I AM HERE!”

"ME TOOOOOO!" Ahsoka howled out, announcing her presence to her sister. Without wasting time, she leaped up the stone stairs, little legs starting to burn as she neared the top, but she didn't dare slow down. By the time she reached Ursa, she was audibly panting, trying to catch her breath from the workout. However, her adventurous attitude didn't fade, eyes bright with enthusiasm.

"Hi..Sis!" she managed to breathe out. Man, she needed to work out more. Leaning forward, she gave her sister a lick on the cheek before turning her gaze out over the land. Her heart skipped a beat when she realized how high they were, but her surprise quickly turned into awe.

"Wooooooow...I can see our tower from here!" Her tail began to wag as she looked out over the land, their home. Her smile almost reached her ears. "This is so cool. We can see EVERYTHING! HELLO WOOOOORLD!" Her voice rang out over the packlands, ears picking up the slightest echo. Fascinated, she gave another howl, then listened for its return. Giggling, she turned to Ursa, beckoning with her head toward the highlands. "You try, Sis! See if your howl comes back!"
