Carrying the Banner [Alue] - Ayliyra - October 24, 2018

It had been an interesting and unexpected turn of events but it had gone well enough that she was now on the way to rejoin with Nardir with Bintang, a former member of Stoneclaw, in tow. It was nice to have a big cat around although perhaps somewhat awkward considering her prior visit to the now gone cat pride and her not entirely truthful activities regarding it. There wasn't anything she could do about it though so she would just work on moving as quickly as possible. Of course her new companion she had noticed didn't seem to be able to keep such a rapid pace as easily or as long as herself, something else she couldn't do anything about, so rests were more often than usual for her. Though perhaps that was a good thing because if she wasn't having to stop for someone else to rest she likely would be running herself beyond exhaustion and raggedness but as it was she was resting just about every time the feline did.

It meant she would be in better shape than normal but it was not helping her concern about the time spent traveling and how long it was taking despite the fact that they were still moving rather quickly towards their destination.

((sorry it's short but it is up @Alue ))

Aylie was in much more of a hurry than Bintang was. The tiger was willing to run and walk for a while, but he didn’t want to push himself like the wolf seemed to. When he felt tired, he wanted to rest. Aylie didn’t always seem so happy about it, but he figured maybe he was doing her a favor. If she kept on how she wanted, she might wear herself thin and somehow fuck up. It’d be bad to be running, exhausted, at night and somehow find your way off a cliff side. Well, he wasn’t really seeing any cliffs at the moment, but he knew that dangers could lurk anywhere, especially accidently self inflicted injuries. It hadn’t taken too long for Bintang to step on a stone that was too sharp, and it pierced the skin. He put it off as nothing, not wanting to really slow down. Besides, once they reached Nardir, he could truly rest. The breaks they took were short and were only enough to keep them going. He wanted a time to sleep for hours.

“So do you know where Nardir is? Or are you just following the scent?” The tiger eventually asked. He knew the scent, could smell it in the air but he wasn’t actually sure if that’s what Aylie was doing or not. The more they walked, the more he thought. It kind of hurt that even if he was joining Nardir, he wouldn’t be able to visit his father’s grave. From the time he visited Nardir a while back, he knew that his father had been killed by a bear, trying to fight it to save his packmates the challenge of fighting such a beast. Bulan had been brave and foolish, but had his heart in the right place, at least Bintang thought. Now he was just trying to follow what his father had been doing, at least until he found something more. But none of that really mattered right now. They were working on getting back to Nardir, or finding it? He wasn’t sure what it counted as, at least for him.
