RE: dramatic ravine thread [ii] - Saturn - August 02, 2018 #6b658e
No matter how much his sister wanted Nebula to be the first to find her and come to her aid, she'd have no such luck. Instead, it'd be a brother. One that stumbled blindly about not really caring what or who he walked into. Strolling through the forest today with no particular purpose other than to be out of the hair of Niph and Neb. So much to his surprise he didn't expect to hear a familiar voice calling a familiar name and briskly made his way to the sound. Luckily!!!! Saturn stopped himself right before the edge of the ravine, not exactly looking down at his sister, but looking ahead more so. The poor guy could never see after all, something that Niph constantly mentioned. Saturn, buddy, Lylum, we gotta do something bout those bangs. "Hi Arda!" He barked loudly, cheerfully, not knowing the danger. "It's Saturn." He said as if she couldn't see him or know him by voice. "What are you doing?" This is where it all went WRONG. He took a step forward, a surefooted step, and tumbled right down into the ravine, large body possibly hitting Arda if she didn't move out the way. "Arda..... I fell. Did you push me?" The young lad would sit up, shaking his head and finally raising a paw to move the fringe from his eyes. Blinking as his eyes were met with light and the willowy form of his sister. It's then when he realized, ruby red eyes glancing from the pit to the top of it and back again, mouth pressing into a thin line and eyes narrowing as his entire body tensed. It was a slow building screech, a mayday, to match his sister's own. eeeeeeeEEEEEEE. Before turning into a preteen pterodactyl just teetering on puberty. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Ears flat against his head, and face beginning to scrunch. "NEBULA!!!!! NEEEEEEEEEEEEEBBBBBBUUUUULLLLLLAAAAAA!!!" Screams are almost white noise for someone so used to the shrieks of rainforest birds and the insects that buzz in heat and humidity-- though it occurs to him after a few moments that he should probably be concerned. Kitkun hefts himself to his feet, and sets off in search of the sound, quickly regretting his laziness as of late. Thin fur does little to shield him from the wind, but activity is the easiest way to keep warm. It's not long before he locates them, trained in tracking by sound, and the screams so shrill, he's shushing them before he's quite reached the moat. The world is so quiet out here, everything else seems so much louder. At the first glimpse of lavender-indigo, he already knows what has happened. "Saturn, what mess have you gotten yourself into?" Kitkun snipes, half-exasperated but also jovial. The ethiopian stops at the edge, feet braced wide in case it should cave, although the ground of the taiga is so much sturdier than mud. Now that the panic has settled, he can tell there are in fact two teenagers trapped in the ravine. He glances between the two, theorizes, "I'm assuming this is your sister, then?" Vines aren't nearly so abundant as they were back home, but he's certain braided ivy will do the trick. Until then, he feels distinctly like it's his duty to scold them somehow, and Kitkun quite likes being the taller one. |
