The second ((PRP; Haylyn)) - Elias - June 21, 2018

Each morning the round Princess had watched her Father shuffle about the den as it grew smaller, as they grew bigger. His hulking figure pausing before leaving, to count over each child who lay resting behind him, and planting a sweet kiss on her Mother's cheek or head. Sometimes the King would give the girls nearby a similar kiss goodbye, and some days someone would follow behind him. This morning, it was young but thick Elias. Her long eyelashes batting upward at him as he softened at the sight of her at his side, nodding and murmuring lovingly to her.

They walked a long way that morning, farther than she had with her Family before. It wasn't long before she was plucked up and placed between his shoulders, and instructed to hold on tight as they went. Taking well worn trails through the massive purple trees, stories of the trails and Inaria coming from him as they went. How generations ago a great war of huge cats with large teeth was fought here, if you listen carefully you might hear the roars of the cats who battled and the howls of victorious ancestors. It fascinated her, and that was why Ghost passed on the (gently given) war stories from his own childhood to his young Princess named for her great Uncle.

In time it would be shown that Elias couldn't be more different than the sickly King, but today she was an innocent smiling child. With large pale eyes, and a face shape that was reminiscent of Haylyn. Who Elias had met while still squirming, fresh, and before given a name. Today, Ghost brought his Mother the child to bond with. Who was strong-willed, and spunky... Just like Haylyn.

"Mom, I brought you someone to meet." He wandered forward to her if she had approached, turning to his side to show the plump puppy sitting astride the King. As if he were her noble steed. "...This is one of your Granddaughters you met" If she wanted to pluck the child from his back, he wouldn't protest, but a warm proud smile spread over his face. "Her name is Elias. Say Hello to your Grandma Elias."

Ellie looked toward the woman "Hiiii" she gurgled in a childish voice, baby round cheeks and belly jiggling with her tail as she shuffled on Dad's back.

Ellie will be pretty young here! Probably the first memorable meeting of her and Haylyn.

Spring mornings brought a lulling peace that swept over the land in a bright and warm embrace. There were still those in Inaria who slumbered as the sun crept higher into the sky and the periwinkle hues of dawn's earliest lights began to fade into a pale hue of baby's blue. A light fog covered the low grassy areas of rolling hills and river beds, the old battlefields of wars long since past, and surrounded the roots of an old tree on a hill.

But she was always an early bird, and a light sleeper. The birdsong waking her every morning right before the sun even began to rise, she'd pull herself out of her den, embracing the slightly chilly air and watched as the day began, and Inaria awoke with life.

How long had it been since she lived secluded in the outskirts of the old kingdom? Where the purple trees were denser in numbers, and she wasn't nervous about other's seeing her face. They wouldn't even know her now, how different things had become.

However, this morning would be different, as the sun would burn away the fog, and a gentle breeze rustled through the jacaranda trees, purple blossoms budding and blossoming. Pale eyes would catch sight a familiar form cresting over the horizon. A surprise visit? She felt her heart flutter between anxious and genuine glee. As her son, her King, stood before her a, a smile pulled Haylyn's lips upward. "It's always a good morning when you're here with me, love." Came tender words, moving forward to close the distance and touch his nose with her own.

Stepping back she blinked at his words, and as he turned to show his sweet little daughter, her little darling of a granddaughter. Haylyn's smile grew wider, stepping closer to greet the chubby little girl. Elias. She'd heard him say, and the name dropped in her mind like a weight tied to her feet dragging her under a sea of emotions. The moment when a memory aches and you're only left with fragments, a hazy dream of what that person once was like. Ethereal, almost otherworldly, and you have to think... was it all real? "She's beautiful, Ghost." Came her soft voice, words that had been said when she had first visited these little babes, small and squirming.

There was a hitching pause as she tried and failed to blink away tears, tired eyes now bright and clear as her grandbaby greeted her. "Hi pretty girl!! Look at you, you've grown so big!" An airy light, doting tone. One parent's knew how to use all too well. "Do you know me? I'm your Grandma Haylyn. Do you know I love you very much, my pretty little girl!" Sing-song tones to match the birds that sang joyfully in the trees. If Elias didn't squirm or protest, the pale woman would gently pull the plump little pup from off her father's back and down onto the grass, lowering herself to keep eye contact. "Do you like flowers? Would you like to pick some with me?"

Big eyes watched Haylyn's nose boop into her Dad's, sliding down his forehead to reach toward Lady Luck with her own little nose. BOOP ME TOO BOOP ME TOO, her excitement screeched. Oblivious to the tender moments Mother and Son were sharing, her reach unable to make contact as Elias held onto Ghost's single ear, foot sliding over the fluffy scarred gap where the right one was missing. This Lady had both her ears, and they looked like HERS! "It's always a good morning when you're here with me, love. She's beautiful, Ghost." Elias II has no idea who Elias I is at this point in her life, only that a deep meaningful look appeared sometimes when she was introduced.

Ghost stood more relaxed, and allowed her to squirm around his back. Where Elias tugged on his fur, tail, ear, and even face when he gave her an opening before sitting back up to talk to Grandma. Ghost felt pride as he felt the sausage of a Princess playfully roll around on his back, calm herself back down and lean toward Grandma with her head craned toward them. Licking at the air, a goofball in her youth. Dad said something about heading to work, and glanced to instruct her that she should behave well and that Grandma was the boss today. "Okay, bye Daddy." She agrees without thinking much about it, wondering if Grandma likes to race.

Haylyn gets to her level and plucks her gently from him and took Elias to the grass, where she wiggles and bows her little bum in the air. "Hi pretty girl!! Look at you, you've grown so big! Do you know me? I'm your Grandma Haylyn. Do you know I love you very much, my pretty little girl!" Whole body wiggles at the tone, excited by the happiness. "I'm Elias! Grandma Haylyn, didja know I, um, I love you TOO?" She exclaims, speaking too fast to keep up and stumbles over her words, but gets there in the end. Beaming. "Do you like flowers? Would you like to pick some with me?" Eyes grow big, YES! Yes she really would like to!

"Yeah! Can we find some? Big ones?"
