lazuli [knife] - Fini - April 28, 2018 @Corvo ]
For sign and thoughts, #6f00ff The moment when a memory aches A long winter had turned to spring, the cold had wanted for so long to keep it's wintry grasp upon everything, but spring managed to edge it's way forward. They could look toward the dawn and begin again. But winter held many losses, and a great many painful memories, past traumas bubbled beneath the surface, and it was simply just hard to tell oneself to forget. The blue female stalked out of her small den, hidden by ferns and an over grown holly bush. The sunlight breaking through the trees, as green buds swayed gently in a light breeze. There was still a chill in the air, but the more the sun poured through on bright days like these the more certain she was of a promising summer. There'd be warmer days and lots of them. Though Fini's mind wandered back upon thoughts of Kroni and Saboro, the pair having been split apart from each other due to a whiteout. Her heart sank, each morning she sniffed about her humble dwellings, each day going a little further, but she hadn't yet been able to find the other. Kroni was a resourceful girl, far more capable than Fini could ever imagine. Just as the days grew warmer, she was certain that the darkling girl would come back to her. Their paths were forever intertwined after all. Somewhere in the desert there's a forest. Paws finally came to a halt, blue eyes glancing down at the stream before her. The fresh scent of damp moss filling her nostrils. The dainty female would sit back on her haunches, ears twitching ever so slightly to far off birdsongs, but her eyes remained ever focused upon the water. RE: lazuli [knife] - Knife - July 23, 2018 Knife wondered if she would hate him if she was aware that he watched her; would she become afraid of him and think he was being creepy? He would understand. Not everyone who watched in the world was quiet in their minds. Sometimes they planned sinister things, wove things to make other’s hurt, and he knew it too well. He wished he could speak to her without scaring her or saying the wrong thing, but he wasn’t sure what to do. He waited as she wandered wild paths untouched, lost only in her thoughts, always returning to the safety in familiarity. Her eyes were soft and sad and far away. She was here, but not. It would be difficult to not startle her, but he dared to approach her by a stream, water being an excuse for two creatures to be in the same place.
When she saw him (and she eventually would) he did not quite meet her eye but gazed at that spot in the stream where her eyes focused as if he could glimpse the things she saw there as well. Water churned and twisted under watch, but he was not given any information on her private thoughts from there. It was not his to have. That was alright too, he thought. He did not really need to know. “Are you alright?” he asked softly, not knowing the answer might come in less conventional methods. Maybe she could teach him something, if she wanted to. “Can I…help?” |
