Star light, Star Bright. - Skylar - December 16, 2017 speech ♚ thoughts
First star I see tonight.
He had been wandering aimlessly throughout Gemini since his brother's departure. Skylar didn't even remember who he had seen throughout the day; too much of his focus was on the fading figure of Century as he left the borders of his home. Their home. Gemini was still his family's home in his opinion, and he just could not wrap his mind around how many were leaving. Hyperion was gone. Century was gone. He hadn't seen where Azalea had gone either, but her scent had faded for a while now from the grasses were they usually played. "Everyone's gone..." he muttered to no one in particular, his chirpy voice now a dull whisper among the winds blowing through the land. Of course not literally everyone was gone; but with every figure added to the list of those he saw (and didn't see) leaving, his heart ached more. It hurt with every throb in his chest at trying to understand why they didn't want to be here anymore. What was so wrong with Gemini? What was so wrong... with him? As the sky began to change towards the fiery colors of the sun's setting path, Skylar wandered towards the Widow's Watch. Somewhere along the way, he had found some purple hyacinth and plucked them to carry in his jaws. A reflection of his sadness, as he always did whenever his emotions fluctuated. Flowers comforted him, though even they had little effect on him now to ease the sorrow he felt. Curling up in the grasses, he was barely visible over the lush stalks as he laid near the cliff edges with the sounds of the ocean crashing against the rocks some distance below. The sea's sounds were soothing, but his mind still floated over the edge and ran towards Century, in hopes it could still connect to the brother he loved. If anyone passed by, they might notice a few sniffles coming from his direction. |
