Heads Or Tails? I pick Tails! - Brix - November 23, 2017 The cool wind of autumn was here, causing the leaves to slowly fall in it's wake. Littering the forest floor with it's vast aray of colors. Red,Orange,Yellow and the odd dark purple looking ones danced over the ground as they covered the light brown color that the grass was turning. No more bright green and lively like it once was in the spring and summer time. It'll be another six months or so before life starts to flood back into the forest. Because of the fallen foliage of the leaves, walking around has become a little louder for most. The crunching and shuffling of leaves easily echoed in the forest. Crunch, Crunch, Crunch sounded as small paws moved about. Paws that were barely the size of an acorn that's been long gone, eaten up by a squirrel getting fat for winter. They carried about a small body, belonging to a young one who seems to be on a mission. Her bright eyes wide with curiousity as her ears swiveled about, trying to pick up any and all sounds that were around her. Although, the main sound she's really able to hear are the rustling of the leaves that her paws were disturbing. Halting, the young pup halted in her grand adventure as something in front of her caught her attention. Her beight blue eyes stared at the small pile for a moment, not really sure what to think of it. Soft looking things that seemed to be well taken care of were just resting in a pile. Looking like they were waiting for someone to go through them and curl up in for a nice little nap. The soft fur, wrapping around one like a mothers warmth on a cool night. Bringing about a sense of familiarity to the young pup. Slowly, the dark furred girl hunched down to the ground, as she slowly slunk towards the pile. Her nose twitched as she tried to pick up the smell of what the pile could be, but there were just to many. The only thing that she could figure out, was that the scents were from her kind. Wolves. As the young beauty got to the pile, after playing her little sneaking game, she stood up and looked at the pile. Her paw reached out grabbing one of the things and holding it up. Bright blue eyes widened as they realized it was a tail. This was a pile of tails, severed from their owners and collected in a pile by someone who seemed to be using them as trophies. "This is weird." The young pup mumbled quietly to herself as she looked at the tail in her grip and then towards the pile. Her eyes looked warily back towards the pile, a feeling of unease starting to fill her. This was feeling like a bad idea, being around someones soft of treasure and all. Then, the young pup jumped as the sound of a breaking twig caught her attention. The young girl, Lily looked around herself as she tried to figure out where it was coming from. In a panic, the young girl grabbed the tail in her grip with her teeth and made a mad dash away from the pile of severed tails, not wanting to be caught by the creature that seemed to inflicting such trauma to others. RE: Heads Or Tails? I pick Tails! - Kitra - November 23, 2017 KITRA broken crown Out on a hunt, Kitra paid no attention to the things that were beneath her. That is, the ground, the dirt, the leaves, the twigs, and pawprints. She'd managed to separate a young deer from its herd and had it trapped in a trap of her own concoction - its head and middle had become stick in between a tree and a heavy branch had been placed over its back. It kicked frantically as she moved around it, chuckling to herself and nibbling away at strips that she'd carved out of the deer with her own teeth.
While she had other tastes, this deer would have to do for now. It was growing weaker and more terrified, but she didn't mind. The fear brought a surprising tang to the meat, which made her want it even more. But something was wrong - she'd forgotten something back in the den. Not quite sure what, but knowing she wanted to prolong the deer's suffering, she'd turned from it and sauntered away, through the trees and towards her little densite. Now that she wasn't paying attention to the deer, she could focus on the - There was an unfamiliar wolf scent here. Her eyes narrowed and she slowed, carefully walking towards her den. The brush had been disturbed. There was someone here. And suddenly, the child was bolting, with one of her tails in its mouth! Kitra's teeth bared and she took chase, leaping over brush and stick and closing the gap between the child and herself quickly. No, not closing it. Spinning past so the pup would turn. Shepherding it. Towards an ambush site, a trench dug deep enough that no wolf could climb out from the sides. Rocks and broken bones littered the ground in there, but brush and fallen trees hid the entrance so until the pup ran in, she wouldn't notice where she was going. And, if she ran into the one entrance, Kitra would trot after, laughing merrily. OOC -
RE: Heads Or Tails? I pick Tails! - Brix - November 23, 2017 Her little heart pounded rapidly in it's cage. The sound echoing through out the young girls body and filling her ears. Bright blue eyes that were filled with curiousity were replaced with ones of fright, panic of who what was following her. Little paws moving as fast as they could, stumbling ever so often as they tried to keep up. Her head swiveling as she tried to find ways to escape the beast. Moving this way and that, as she tried to escape the creature that found her snooping in it's stash of stolen goods. Shallow gasps started to erupt from the young girl as she grew tired from the burt of energy she was forced to use. Her legs burning with the stress she was putting on them. Her mouth, feeling dry from how hard she was panting as she tried to bring air into her lungs. They burned at the dryness of fall, screaming at her to calm down and drink something. Or at least close her mouth and let her saliva moisten her throat. The little pup, Lily, looked to her side and gasped ever so quietly as she thought she saw the monster that was fallowing her. Small paws tripping over themselves in fear as the sudden image of what was chasing her raced through her mind. I-It's coming! It's coming! She thought to herself as she closed her eyes and ran forward, hoping that she didn't run into any trees as she tried to out run the creature. Her smaller legs only able to carry her so fast though, and hoped that they worked fast enough to do as she willed. "Please let me move faster!" She repeated in her mind as she opened her eyes, trying to keep herself from panicing anymore. Fighting the tears that threatened to roll out of the corners of her eyes. The little pup ran for a while longer, she could feel her legs slowing their pace, but she still tried. She couldn't really see the monster following her anymore, meaning she might actually have some luck. "Oh!" Her eyes perked wider for a moment as she spotted a fallen tree ahead. "Perfect!" She thought, thinking that it'd be a perfect place to hide in for a while to make sure the monster wasn't following her anymore. Lily's dry tongue flickered against the fur in her mouth, reminding her that she had something the creature wanted in her mouth. Her little mistake that got her into this huge bit of trouble. Her front toes dragging on the ground and kicked up some dirt as she ran, getting sloppy in her movements. A small grin appeared on her lips as she dashed to her sanctually. Only to have her eyes widen as she slipped down the past that it was hiding. "Oof." She muttered as she hit the bottom of the pile. Her eyes closing in the impact, then widening as she saw what she had landed on. Lily gasped as she dropped the tail and backed up against the wall as a skull of some creature, that was long forgotten, stared straight at her. Then, hearing a laugh and then a voice, bright blue eyes looked up and widened at the creature above her. Lily just stared wide eyed at the lady, not sure what to saw to her. How was one suppose to answer? Her heart was feeling like it was going to pound out of her chest! She couldn't breath! She was trapped! How was she going to get out of this! She was in deep deep trouble! The young pup gulped a few times as she stared at the lady. Her throat tight and refusing to speak, but she still tried. "A Tail? Was all she managed to squeak out, her legs started to move on their own. Moving her back against a wall of her trap, trying to keep her as far away from the monster in front of her as possible. |
