ooc: hey .eclipse. , here's your acceptance thread B) After this, you can consider yourself recruited and either participate in the war as a DV soldier, or just head back to camp. This takes place before DV arrives at the Isle of Glass. News of Ragnarok was delivered by unlikely messengers: a murder of crows that blackened the skyline, swarming over the sun. Oukoku-Kai's hordes were not so drunk on revelry that they could not recognize the omen for what it was. As the valley emerged into the light of dawn, the Triad prepared their multitudes for war. It was a cautionary measure. Investigate, but be prepared. Anamelech lunged for the opportunity to explore the outside world with a voracity not expected from one anticipating the coming apocalypse. For Anamelech, this excursion was nothing more than a vacation. A delightful little venture, though at the moment, the length of her travels was wearing on her and her paws were beginning to ache. Maybe she should get Thetis or Maverick to massage her paws. Where were they? Anamelech sighed. She broke away from the congregation to get some fresh air, though she did not stray far from the protection of her flock. If she gave off a distress call, her faithful would rush to her defense. "Boring," Anamelech sighed. If only they had encountered a human camp to raid. She could see for herself where Virra had borrowed the bracelets that she had offered to Anamelech. Perhaps if Ragnarok did come, things would feel less frightfully dull. RE: shut up and drink your Peach Green Tea® [carissi/anamelech] - Carissi - November 22, 2017 |☠| oukoku-kai |☠|

The great beast bellowed, fangs gripped tight on the shoulder of the elk, swinging it's antlers wildly at her. She had it though, Carissi knew she had it, and her Carolina blue eyes burned as she released the shoulder. A harsh duck to miss the onslaught of small antlers, body poised on the ground, muscles tensed like a snake ready to strike... And strike she did, using moderately muscled back legs to force up square chest and boldly shaped face towards it's throat. It was a young elk, still trying to get it's bearings in the world; it would not get the opportunity. Powerful Bacchus jaws clenching down, tighter, tighter, tighter, until blood began to trickle down her own, still-in-one-piece throat. The young one faltered, gurgling, wheezing, it's legs giving way beneath it. The half-Bacchus let it fall, loosening her hold, letting it stagger and collapse before her. Carissi hadn't been particularly hungry, but the bull had thought himself hot shit and charged her simply drinking by a stream. Needless to say she hadn't taken well to his show of dominance, and put him in his permanent place as it were.
The red and gray woman wheezed softly, laughing as she turned back to the water behind her. Muzzle dipping into the cool liquid, crimson blood melting into the water, drifting away with the current, leaving the silver markings on her face only slightly stained. All that was left red on her face were the spots that were dappled there naturally, endowed by her father. A voice echoed from the woods somewhere nearby but she simply flicked her long ears at it first. The banshee woman studied her face in the water, narrowing her blue eyes at herself, she'd never be a comely woman, but she was certainly a commanding woman. That would have to do, she decided to herself, and licked her lips calmly before lapping up more water. Somewhere in front of her a figure formed, seemingly wandering the forest like a sprite, dancing above the grass. Carissi cocked her head softly at the fellow red and gray creature across the way. "Hello lovely," she'd offer as a purr, studying the smaller woman hovering beyond her. Did she realize she was baiting the beast? No, they were just sipping tea across the table from each other. Like ladies. RE: shut up and drink your Peach Green Tea® [carissi/anamelech] - Carissi - November 22, 2017 ANAMELECH
Like a true God, Anamelech had wanted for something, and it had then willed itself into existence. She had demanded entertainment from these alien, unplundered lands, and they had given her Carissi. Carissi addressed her from across the river, regarding her with an uncommon dash of flattery that Anamelech did not expect from a heathen. With the obliviousness of a child enticed with a handful of candy, Anamelech eagerly devoured the compliment, fanning out her tail and puffing out her chest to enlarge her presence.Be on high alert, cautioned some intact aspect of her common sense, and she set that aside for now. Anamelech would howl for assistance if Carissi tried anything, but for now, she wanted to indulge her curiosity and socialize with the first unconverted wolf she had ever encountered. Imagine that -- a heathen in its natural habitat! How positively foul! It was evident that Anamelech did not see this as a meeting between equals, but the social equivalent of her gawking at an exotic tiger from a safari cab. And in Carissi's case, though Anamelech acknowledged that her arrival was peculiar, flattery would indeed get her anywhere. "Lovely? My my my, such manners," Anamelech purred, still preening. Carissi was off to a good start, apparently. "Who are you, my dear?" RE: shut up and drink your Peach Green Tea® [carissi/anamelech] - Carissi - November 22, 2017 |☠| oukoku-kai |☠|
the banshee & boshin "Fear and greed are potent motivators. When both forces push in the same direction, virtually no (human) being can resist."
-Andrew Weil She was interested immediately when the woman across the water puffed up and practically sparkled with pride. The nature of Carissi was that of curiosity, and therefore her mind was immediately swirling with questions. What did this little creature think she had to be proud about? Vanity? Power? Or was she something that needed to be taken down a couple of pegs? Carissi's large (slightly strange shaped) head turned to the side, eyes filled with a devilish interest. Oh Anamelech, you've got a heathen giving you an unholy look~ The figure of the Bacchus neutral, but tall, front paws now in the river before her, Carolina blue eyes fixed on Ana's golden ones. Perhaps bold for one to be staring so calmly into the eyes of the little Goddess, but how could Carissi know that? Her teeth clicked together playfully as the similarly colored Rosa spoke in a purring tone not too unlike the Bacchus' own. "Manners?" She grinned, "If you think those are manners then we will get along well..." The Bacchus calmly bridging a bit of the gap between them, sashaying nearly in the water. Carissi did have a sort of swagger to her step, certainly Anamelech had her own. Though she halted in the middle of the river, about "knee" deep when the second question came out. "Carissima~" the large woman said, making sure her Latin accent was even heavier over the true Latin word, "Means 'dearest'," Carissi could preen too. "But most just call me Carissi." A long ear would flick dismissively before focusing on Anamelech, "And you, little lamb?" RE: shut up and drink your Peach Green Tea® [carissi/anamelech] - Carissi - November 22, 2017 ANAMELECH
Anamelech's grin widened by a fraction, and if she was the type to show her teeth out of mirth, she would have gladly given Carissi a glimpse. For a half second her teeth flashed, but only so she could flirtatiously drag her tongue over a canine, and then her smile was again sealed. "If you're always so delightful, dearest," responded Anamelech in kind, "Then I think we will."Thetis wouldn't be happy to know she was answering so openly and brazenly to another woman's advances. Anamelech knew this, and Anamelech didn't care. She would have continued even if Thetis was gawking at them with tears in her eyes. Anamelech's golden eyes changed focus from Carissi's face to roam over her body, penetrating her pelt to study her flesh and bones. She noted the disparate skull structure and barrel chest. Though Anamelech retained some adolescent lankiness she was still fully grown, but Carissi flaunted herself and her musculature in a way that easily dwarfed her. She had no experience with Bacchus dires; all she had was a vague supposition that Carissi was no mere Fringeborn. If her pedigree was lacking, however, her conduct exceeded her lowblooded origins. "Carissima," Carissi purred like she was reading a love letter. "Car-i-ssi," Anamelech recited each syllable, the pronunciation indulgent. Anamelech determined in that moment that she liked this name, as she liked this Carissi. "Yes. A lovely name." If they were offering introductions, it was only appropriate she provide her own title. "Gigantea," Anamelech said in return. "Rosa Gigantea. Some of my followers call me Scheherazade." The way she said followers was an obvious ploy to catch Carissi's attention, but perhaps the bait was delicious enough for Carissi to overlook it. Hence why she revealed her summon name so early into their encounter. This would be another detail that, if Thetis was aware, would certainly vex her, especially after Thetis had to scrape and scrounge for the honor to refer to Anamelech by name. This little woman was swift with her motions, behavior akin to Carissi's own but there was something more. Intoxicated with some sort of notion of power or dominance, to play so brazenly with a beast the size of the Bacchus. The water lapped at the red and gray brute as she stood in the river; between the pair, growing smaller. Expression soft and curious, Anamelech soaked up the advances of a stranger, of Carissi when others didn't and something about that seemed to beg a question. Why this woman now? Nobody before her fellow red and grayscale seemed to bat an eye back at the large creature, was she so susceptible to flattery that she could overlook the lack of appeal possessed by the young half-Bacchus? For a moment Carissi let her consider that she might have appeal and not realize it, but she passed it out of her mind as Anamelech opened her mouth to speak again. Carissi chuckled enthusiaticly, "Hmmm, well I'm not normally so lovely, it depends on whose around... So I can't imagine you'd have to worry love." Carolina blue eye would wink at Anamelech in an oddly coquettish manner.
The white-capped woman would dip her head to the surface and drink as the young-God waxed over her name with all the same smoothness as what would be found on the rocks below Carissi's toes. The little temptress certainly knew how to use her words, Carissi enjoyed it wholeheartedly. This was the most fun she'd had since she'd fought with Aylie and obtained some new scars. As the heathen lifted her head back up, water droplets formed and slipping away from her face to run back to their mother stream. Soft, speckled tongue lapsed out to snag a couple off her lips before they all fled. The last of the blood that lingered as a stain was nearly gone, though the crimson matched so well it almost looked like another marking. Somewhere behind her the young elk still lay slain, she'd forgotten him already, after all she hadn't actually been hungry. Gigantea, interesting name for such a small woman. Rosa Gigantea at that, sounded very formal, especially when being puffed out by a creature with a demeanor such as Anamelech's. Although Rosa seemed suited, she wasn't sure about Gigantea, certainly wasn't a lovely name for lovely thing. But wait, there's more! Scheherazade. The half-Bacchus allowed herself to gloss over the hard inflection of pronunciation on the word 'followers' to take in the call name of the little God. Scheherazade, what a mouthful. "Scheherazade," hummed out with precision, despite disliking it's use, Carissi would continue on with her current line of pet name use for now. "interesting name, as is Gigantea. Thought the first sounds more like a title, 'Rosa Gigantea'..." A slight nudge at the part she'd glossed over earlier now, "You said you had, followers, typically if a woman has followers-- aside from being a lovely sight to see-- it's because she's done a lot of good, or a lot of bad," The grin on Carissi's face was playful and her eyes were thoughtful, head tipped ever so slightly and her grin became more devious, "I suppose it could also be both," lightly the woman shifted her standing in the river, letting her claws slip over rocks as if she was petting them. "So tell me more about these followers, and more about you Little Lamb?" |
