chasing kites - Eve - November 02, 2017 // RE: chasing kites - Reath - January 23, 2018 Spot save for Necros. C: RE: chasing kites - Necros - January 23, 2018 It had been a trying day for the dark newblood. He had spent his days restlessly wandering around his new homeland which had meant exploring the willow tree and passing along the crumbling wall; which mystified the fringe dire by its very existence. He had not known any creature capable of such odd feats and even less with the drive to undertake such a massive task the wall seemed to have demanded; judging by its seer size. The beauty of the structure was marred, however, by the many skulls and bones that decorated the jagged outcrop in some attempt at appearing menacing...which was successfully executed. No pun intended. All throughout his adventuring though he had not met any of his fellow pack mates which began to add to anxiousness for when he eventually did come across another member of Gemini. The only pack mate he did know was the brown and black colored female with emerald eyes who had overseen his acceptance and even then he did not know her name. So all in all he felt very much like an outsider within the pack of Gemini. Currently the massive bulk of muscle and fat laid dozing in the shade of a gathering of trees. The soft breath of wind combing through his thick fur and ghosting a pleasant breeze across his resting figure. The day was bright and peaceful. Skies of the purest blue stretched overhead carrying neither sound nor scent upon its dancing winds. The chirp of birds were few and far between as the sun traveled above casting its warmth down to the wild undergrowth below and to the creatures that dwelled within. Luckily for Necros he was protected from the brilliant rays by the shadows cast by the trees that surrounded him. It was rare for Necros to be found resting while the day was still young but the male had no rank to bear and no duties to attend and while most would be jealous of this freedom Necros cursed it. For now though no trace of stress or unrest dwelled within his being as his steady breathing filled the empty void where sound had been vacant. Massive paws bore the weight of his equally large head that laid upon them. His body semi curled upon itself; the fluttering light between the leaves of towering branches dappling the shadows with spots of vivid color. A few times the light danced upon his face but it went unacknowledged. The dark fringe dire remained at rest while the world around him remained in motion and he was blissfully unaware of the new figure that had joined him beneath the shade. A few minutes passed before weary amber eyes opened and consciousness reground itself to reality. A loud grunt vibrated his vocal chords as his body stretched lazily upon the soft grass that cushioned his wide girth. A deep hum vibrated in his chest as he raised his head and looked about his surroundings. He nearly gave himself whiplash when he spotted the back of a pale figure a short distance from his resting place. "Greetings," he said softly, trying not to startle the stranger, "It's a lovely day to laze about isn't it," he asked in good humor. "Sorry to startle you but my name is Necros," the gravel sound of his voice sounding more like a growl instead of a sentence, "I'm new to Gemini are you a fellow pack mate or a visiting party?" |
