Did you get enough love my little dove?

The rolling greenery gave way to bluffs that met an endless stretch of ocean, and that crashed against the rocks with a fierceness that was both horrifyingly powerful as well as beautiful. The darkling female had often found herself walking along the jagged cliffs, letting the sea breeze brush against her fur, before heading back to the heartland to shake the salt from her fur.

She had been in Gemini for what seemed like years? Losing track of time and becoming so closed off, fearful of the contact from others. A vengeful, hateful father had turned her away from such wants. To think the lack of love from both parents had always left her longing for something, but Indy had never quite known what it was. There was hope within far off fantasy of a life where things were quite as bad as they were, when she wasn't like this... Franky was there and Indigo wasn't so hollow.

You are still here, you are still happy, you are still smiling and laughing , you are still the only thing and everything I need in my life.

But those seemed so far away and out of reach now, she wasn't that person. She could never be what anyone wanted or needed, she was just... her. A golem, spanning the stars to find a place that fit within her empty heart. Fleeing one parent's home to find no refugee in the other's. Physically another continent, emotionally another head space, mentally I'm not even here. Nothing's changed.

Bi-colored eyes would catch sight of another figure though, one of familiar colors and she'd pause with fear pricking at her spine and eating away at her. Those colors reminding her of a mother long lost, but Indigo's legs had a mind of their own and she'd move forward with carefully calculated steps until she was close enough for the other to hear. "Absinthe." Her own voice sounded grating even to her, and she quieted for a moment, but the sudden urge to make contact... why? "It's- It's been awhile."

The cliffs called to Absinthe as they did her night sister, but the lighter sibling wasn't there for the scenery. The ocean was a frightening thing, especially at night, where the sea itself and the sky melded together like some growing abyss, ready to swallow anyone whole if they so dared to leap.

And often now, she thought about the freefall. Many hours spent staring until the sun set and she was alone, truly alone with nothing but regrets and anger and fear, and a voice. Her voice, chiding and prodding, egging on a damaged daughter. 'You can be good at this, you know, it's not hard. All you have to do is jump,' but she was fine being good at nothing now. Absinthe could live with that, unlike before in the suffocating jungles, she didn't have to be anyone here in Gemini.

She takes her leave from the crags and heads inland, slowly and unsure of paths she had just come to know before disappearing on her pilgrimage. The universe was quiet for once, even her mind was silenced by the struggle to keep upright in the dark. It was a gentle voice that carried like the wind that stopped her.

'Absinthe,' the familiar tones of her sister caused both her ears to twitch, as if a fly buzzed around them. It's- It's been awhile.'

They must've been along the edges of the world together and not known it all along.

An overwhelming sense of anger surged, but was quelled by the cooing guilt of what Indigo probably didn't know.

"Indi.." she wheezes, turning around with no sense of urgency and every bit the tired steps she returned with. "Too long, I think.. since Saboro? All we're missing is Icarus.. then our family reunion would be complete," she gurgles out a laugh which fades into a snicker.

But instead of wandering on and leaving her sister to stew on that thought, Absinthe sits instead with a slow squat and pained groans. "What do you know?

Her face was marred with jagged wounds, one of her eyes frosted over and glossy. The golem female felt her heart sink in a most peculiar way, she had never been there for her sister, had never been there for her brother. It was either make her parents proud by doing something great, or making them proud by staying out of the way. Indigo wasn't the only one to suffer at the hands of unfit parents.

Absinthe bristled with anger and Indigo stood unwavering, knowing full well how entitled to that anger her sister was. How much this life punished the both of them, but soon that angry spark died and there was a certain calm between the two of them. The dark female's expression unreadable, not sure what she was feeling for her sister. A mixture between sorrow, remorse, with a dash of pity? But she knew how Absinthe was, and that she disdained pity. Just like mother.

All we're missing is Icarus. A quiet brother who blended into the shadows far better than she ever could, he had grown increasingly quiet until she forgot his existence almost entirely. Her sister's gurgled laughter made her stomach turn a grimace took shape upon her lips. "He's probably gone." Especially if he hadn't made it out after the eruption. Then again, the two sister probably thought themselves lost to each other as well. There might be hope for him, and if he was out there, Indy wished him a good life. "It's been even longer since I'd last seen him." Back when they were little?

Ears pull back and her eyes narrow in confusion as she blinks at her sister, what did she know? "Sorry, I? What do you mean? Have you seen... mother...?" Did mother give you those scars? Her mind dragged her back to a time when she was sleeping safely within her own den, Coven had found her and nearly torn her face open. The question probed at the back of her mind, but there was that submissive fear that tried to kept her from it. "Who did that to you?" She motioned to gently, her voice just as mechanical as her movements.

Absinthe wanted to giggle and laugh awhile longer, to let out all the pent up everything she'd held onto for so long, but instead, she swallows it and offers a marred smile to Indigo. 'He's probably gone,' about their brother, to which her head shakes and she snorts. "No, I think he's fine," and why wouldn't he be? Of all of them, he seemed the most successful, the more capable of the three. "I don't feel it, that he's dead and gone. He's fine."

She licks over her teeth, feeling it in her bones that her brother was doing a-ok, and who knows, maybe when Saboro comes a'knockin' for its dead, they'll see him at the front line. Ambitious, worthy Icarus.

Absinthe glanced off into the night, folding back her ears as she thought of him, but couldn't quite remember what he looked like. It was strange, but she could barely recognize Indigo, too. If it wasn't for her scent, her voice.. well.. Absinthe wasn't sure she would've been able to decipher the blue wolf from some stranger prodding for information.

'Sorry, I? What do you mean? Have you seen... mother...?'

"She's here. I brought her back with Gaius and.." her throat again, it stops. "A friend," who she wondered about- was he well taken care of? She needed to seek him out, to ensure the prison she brought him to was comfortable enough. Her head shakes, she blinks a few moments, and then glances back at Indi.

'Who did that to you?'

"You know who did it," her tone isn't accusing, it isn't bitter, it's just tired. "I returned the favor, I got her back for it, all of it. The vines, never being good enough, these.. new.. scars.. my eye.. taking me from the home.. I had.. leaving me here.. again.. alone.." she begins to shake, her breath quickening. "She was going to kill me, because I.. because I wasn't going to cower anymore. She almost killed me," her eyes focus once more, now onto her sister's dual-colored ones.

"So I took her head. She's here, like I told you. Do you want to see her?"

ooc: watch out everyone the edgelords here!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was strange to see her sister so hopefully and sure of anything, especially when it came to family, though Indigo would leave Absinthe to her own devices. If their parents had no hope in them, who better than each other? "Yeah, maybe you're right." Hopefully he's okay and his life is better than it had been, she'd offer no more fuel for the thought however. Let her feelings and strange senses be enough for the both of them to believe.

Was it horrible of her to not even remember what her brother was like? She remembered silence, but  there had to be more than that, it was like an entire person had been wiped from her memory. Nothing but shapes and lines.

There was an unsettling silence between them, that Indi hardly noticed, but any onlooker would see it as uncomfortable and would probably attempt to back out of the conversation. She's here. Eyes widened slightly at this remark, and she felt her paws stagger forward as if they had a mind of their own. "For real? She's really.." The words faded off in stark disbelief, how long had it been? Her mother had wandered in and out of their lives as much as their father had. Coven and Derringer only seemed to take note of their children when they wanted something, or if they were costing them something. Pawns who had made pawns, but no longer would she belong to either.

A cryptic, tired remark and Indigo felt her mouth run dry, ears pulling back slightly as her brow furrowed. She wasn't following her sister, always slow to the punchline. Her mind had already been turning the gears of if she wanted to see Derringer, and if she was willing to end up looking like Absinthe. "You- She what? Listen, s-slow down." Her mind buzzing as the other female began popping off, and her lips drew into a tired frown. One nursed by confusion and bewilderment.

So I took her head.

It hadn't hit her then, even when she heard the words it took a minute to sink in, looking at her sister as if she'd seen a ghost. "You... you." Her words unsteady, but still spoken in the same toneless way. "K-killed her? Head? She's just a head." They can't hurt us anymore, CAN'T HURT US, CAN'T THEY CAN'T. The daughter in her wailed, a child sitting lonely in a den, searching for the warmth of a mother or father that would never love any of them. "Yes, I want to see her. Please." The darkling girl's stomach turned at her own morbid words, was this the freedom they sought? They'd never be free from the dark marks Coven and Derringer had imprinted on them, even if they ripped their heads clean off their bodies.

Staggering forward toward her sister, her legs wobbled finding strength within herself to keep from falling.
