Waves - Kalypso - October 16, 2017
She came in with the tide, riding the wave to the shore so that her legs didn't have to work so hard. Kalypso finally made it to shore and shook the salt water from her pelt, breathing a sigh of satisfaction. She didn't feel right unless she smell like the ocean. It was part of her leaving ritual. She prayed to the stars, bathed in the ocean and kissed her tattoo for safe passage. Sure it was silly but it made her feel safe, gave her a small measure of comfort. It was finally time to leave Tortuga again to build up the empire's alliances and make friends new friends.
Kally freaking loved her job. She got to explore new places, make friends out of strangers, learn about different culture and all while calling Tortuga home. The Wayfinder headed for the Watchmans point with her head held high and her eyes shining bright with wanderlust. It was time for another trip! This time would be sort of like the last trip, the one to Borogrove where Daniel ended up staying. But this time Tai, Scylla and Richter would be the ones staying with their ally. She hoped they all did well over there and that they were happy and knew she missed each of the them. They would always be Tortugans. To her, at least. And so she threw back her head and sent out the call to gather her small troop together for departure as she headed for the borders. They'd meet her there and she'd smile at each of them in turn though her usual cheerful grin was tinged with a bit of sadness today. Kally knew she would be the only one returning to Tortuga after this trip and it was a sobering thought. When the trio had finally gathered she stretched and heaved a mighty yawn, "You guys ready to leave?" RE: Waves - Kaikona - October 16, 2017 A soft smile graced his features as he gazed out towards the ocean where Kally spent her last few moments bathing in the rolling waters of Tortuga's shoreline. Rather then interrupting her routine, the male simply waited upon the mainland and curled up into the soft sand merely waiting for his joyous companion to finish up. His heart fluttered softly and his lips curled back into a fond smile as he watched the wayfinder, before soon closing his eyes and taking a deep breath of the salty, sea air and exhaling it through his nostrils. Kaikona knew it had been far too long since he was able to join her and he knew for certain he would not miss the next opportunity to serve by her side along with keeping an eye on her. Not that she needed it of course. Kaikona knew that the Wayfinder was more then capable of taking care of herself having trained alongside her; however, he had lost far too much. His Mother and Father were both gone and whether they were dead or alive was beyond him and he'd be damned if he lost the only think he held most dear to him. Molten and ice eyes watched as Kalypso finished up her swim and kissed her tattoo causing a smirk to tug up at the corner of his lips and in time he lazily began to stand. Lazily rolling over from his spot on the ground the steel gray and sea green brute started to his feet and stretched the taut muscle beneath limbering up for the journey ahead. While Kalypso leaned her head back to release a call for the rest of the crew the male watched the shoreline for a last moment, painting the sight in his mind. He inhaled a deep breath through his nostrils before releasing a contented sigh, the wind billowing through his pelt. He dismissed himself from his position atop of one of the sand dunes and slowly made his way down, the sand shifting beneath his feet. He soon took his place at her side and mustered up a rather large, flirtatious grin, "I'm ready to go when you are, Princess." He chuckled softly and gave her a wink. Yet, it would be then he drew silent when the others showed their own faces, eyes soon wandering from Kalypso to inspect his peers. He scanned them each for a moment before smirking softly and releasing a soft hum of approval. This would be great fun. |
